One of our long-time patients, Thecla, first came to SIA Medical to manage a chronic health condition. After being referred for a full-mouth X-ray by our on-site radiology team, she was seen by Dr Esther at SIA Dental. Significant abscesses were found under failing bridgework, causing Thecla pain and discomfort, which had gone undetected elsewhere. Thanks to close coordination between Dr Esther and SIA GP Dr Vincent Thong, we were able to safely remove the infected teeth and place dental implants—all under one roof at SIA Medical & Dental Burwood. Today, Thecla has restored her smile and ability to enjoy food without discomfort.

Another example is Huong, the mother of SIA Dental founder, Edison Nguyen. As a type 2 diabetic, Huong had long found it challenging to juggle multiple health appointments. Necessary care, like regular dental check-ups, often slipped through the cracks. Now, she manages her diabetes with her GP, receives regular physio for chronic back pain, has her blood tests on-site with pathology, sees a podiatrist for foot health, and keeps up with routine dental check-ups—all within the same SIA Medical & Dental practice.
